Since early summer, I've made smoothies. Such a great way to drink your vitamins every morning. I start with a base of greens (Spinach, Kale), add some fruit (a banana and maybe some berries), then I add the mix-ins (A spoonful of coconut oil, chia seeds, coconut water, flax, etc). It has made me feel healthier and more alert to have a yummy smoothie every morning for breakfast, especially since I get nauseous if I eat anything too early in the morning.
But then the blender broke and for a few months I went without delicious smoothies. Instead of being a responsible adult and just buying a new blender, I Yelp'd to see if there were any juice or smoothie places nearby and then I discovered a local nutrition shop that just opened a juice bar. And I went and fell in love! I've had a smoothie or juice every day for the last three weeks but its all starting to add up. ::sigh:: It's time to get back to being responsible and buying a new blender and buying fruits and veggies and doing this all at home. Plus I found a juicer in Michael's parents garage so I have to put that baby to good use.
