Play ball!

When I met Michael, I considered myself a semi-baseball fan. I went to few games and cheered on and understood the game. I actually liked basketball better (LAKERS!). Then Michael made me really passionate about baseball in ways that I sometimes cannot explain myself. Living in Southern California, it's hard to cheer for our team (YANKEES!) but I still won't say no to going to a local game, especially if it's a team that our friends feel strongly about. This usually means the A's Athletics or the LA Dodgers. The last 2 years we have gone to the Dodgers baseball opening day and seen a fair share of A's play the Angels seeing as how Angel Stadium is literally 10 minutes away from my humble abode. I wish we could have seen the Yankees this year but had to miss out due to us trying to be more financially savvy and save money to move to New York next year where I'm sure we will spend our spring, summer and fall watching the Yankees. So while the Subway Series was happening on the East Coast, here on the West Coast we had the Freeway Series! I can say this was one of the more enjoyable games I've been too.
I'm carrying a flask full of cake vodka. CAKE VODKA. If you haven't tried, I highly suggest you do. I don't drink vodka on its own (nasty) but this vodka solo tastes like a can of delicious frosting. Unreal and perfect for birthday celebrations, which wasn't the case here but we'll pretend it was.

This is the view from the Budweiser patio. I usually don't drink beer but for some reason, this cup just made it cool. They have magnet on the bottom that covers a hole, which is where they fill the beer through. Kind of sort of pretty cool.

Pictures of the usual baseball fans. Including a new Royals fan visiting from Kansas! Great way to spend a Saturday but I'm going to have to say, it's really great to end the weekend sitting with friends, playing guitar and singing (probably one of my favorite things to do) along on Sunday.
Perfect end to the weekend and perfect start to the week which is turning out fantastic so far!
